 沼派邪教新纳粹极右翼“仇恨运动”暴恐分子向LGBTQ+跨性别活动投掷燃烧瓶被判18年


据多家美国媒体报道一名俄亥俄州男子因在 2023 年 3 月底试图烧毁切斯特兰教堂，被判处 18 年监禁，因为该教堂计划在 2023 年 4月举办两场LGBTQ+跨性别活动。


美国司法部在周二的新闻稿中称 ，20 岁的艾门·D·彭尼 (Aimenn D. Penny) 于 10 月承认了一项违反《教堂纵火预防法》的罪名和一项使用火和爆炸物实施重罪的罪名。作为刑期的一部分，他在入狱后还面临三年的监管释放。


司法部国家安全部门的助理总检察长马修·G·奥尔森在一份声明中表示：“这一判决使彭尼先生对针对俄亥俄州教堂实施的暴力行为负责，因为他不同意会众选择表达信仰的方式。”


在采访中，彭尼称自己是一个名为“白人的命也是命”的极右翼新纳粹组织的成员，并表示他“正在努力保护儿童并阻止变装秀活动”。


受袭击的教堂于 3 月 25 日早些时候报告了受损情况，并告诉警方，其前门和建筑物外部的标志上有烧焦的痕迹，该房产东南角的另一个标志已被损坏。调查人员从现场发现了残留的伏特加酒瓶和啤酒瓶碎玻璃片，每个玻璃碎片中都含有布类材料。在受损的门附近发现了一根烧焦的火柴棍和一个装满汽油的蓝色塑料喷雾瓶。


在搜查彭尼的家时，当局发现了一面纳粹党旗帜和纪念品、防毒面具和煤气罐等物品。


美国司法部称，彭尼被捕时使用燃烧弹试图将切斯特兰社区教堂夷为平地——根据针对他的刑事起诉书中包含的一份宣誓书，他在接受联邦调查局采访时承认了这一点。


“这名被告试图烧毁一座教堂，只是因为教堂成员为 LGBTQ+ 社区创造了空间并提供了支持，”助理总检察长克里斯汀·克拉克 (Kristen Clarke) 在司法部周二发布的新闻稿中表示。
